I definitely would not recommend this hotel - the casino is okay, but not the lodging. I finally knew I was in for a night of tossing and turning, and checked-out of the room at 9:30 PM because I was not able to sleep (and at that point, they didn't have any other rooms that I could try). The A/C unit went from a smooth white sound hum to a clunk, clunk, clunk every 90 seconds or so.
However, after lying down, the smoke smell got the best of me and I got to where it was difficult to breathe. I went back to the room around 8:30 to turn-in for the night. I decided I was just a bit tired so freshened-up went out and enjoyed my day, walking the Riverfront, stopping at a number of casinos, and enjoying a great Thanksgiving meal at Claim Jumper. I was shocked because I had read good reviews about the hotel online. The stale smoke smell was a bit overwhelming. I walked in and the 50 years' worth of people smoking in the room (it's not considered smoke-free) hit me like a brick wall. They put me on the first floor near the elevator. After driving 5 hours, I needed to change clothes and freshen-up a bit, so agreed. The person checking me in stated she had a room, and it would cost $15 extra to check-in early. When I arrived, I did ask for an early check-in. I was looking forward to a nice get-away for Thanksgiving 2022.
